Kelly Fern has written a memoir with her husband about the struggles of adoption and the joy of reunion. She has performed many speaking engagements, addressing issues of resiliency and overcoming emotional obstacles. She is a recognized expert regarding the issue of finding joy at the end of significant struggle. Her book has been published in South Korea, and the Korean public television network aired a 5-part series on her reunification with her family in Korea. She has been interviewed by Belinda Jensen on Channel 11, has appeared on Dick Gordon and The Story for NPR, and she was a guest on Minnesota Public Radio for the Friday Round Table. The Star Tribune also published a story on Ms. Fern.
Her work at Tom Lutz and Associates has included clients from minority cultures. She is particularly competent with teenagers and adoption issues. She also works with individuals suffering from anxiety. She is currently a graduate student at the Adler Graduate School and will complete her Master’s Degree in June 2015. She will then be working towards her license in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, she is working as an intern with Tom Lutz and Associates.
